5 Most Mysterious Objects in the Universe
Our Universe is full of mysteries
1. Planet Nine
Our Solar System contains 8 planets and Neptune is the last one, about 4.5 kilometers away from Sun. In 1992, astronomers discovered the Kuiper Belt, which lies beyond Neptune and contains hundreds of thousands of objects (larger than 100km in size) plus trillions of comets.
In 2014, an astronomer found an object called 2012 VP113. It is 250 times farther from the Sun than Earth. But the special thing about it is its orbit. It is titled in a way that astronomer Scott Sheppard, the man who discovered this object, said,
“Nothing is currently known in the Solar System that could create 2012 VP113’s orbit.”
The explanation for this is that our solar system contains another planet, hiding in the Kuiper Belt. According to scientists, it might be 5 to 10 times massive than Earth and is 200 times farther from Sun than Earth does, making its one year equal to 10,000 earth-years.
