What if an asteroid hits Earth?

Asteroids are leftover debris that was produced as a result of planet formation in our solar system. There are millions of them in our solar system. Most of them are present in between Mars and Jupiter’s orbit. They are mainly composed of ice, rocks, or different chemical sulfates or nitrates. Some also have heavy metals in them. The size of an Asteroid could range from a few centimeters to a few million kilometers in diameter.

Due to the gravitational influence of the sun, they are in a continuous orbit around the sun, and sometimes they are captured by other planets due to gravity. Sometimes large and sometimes small. Nearly all the planets in the solar system have asteroid impacts on them even their moons. Earth has also signs of large asteroid impacts in the past and scientists believe that these impacts were the cause of the nearly complete extinction of life on Earth. It is…
